Initial Visit
Your initial visit is complimentary and will take approximately 45 minutes. During this visit, we will take measurements of your teeth and evaluate your "bite". Dr. Megna will discuss your orthodontic needs, treatment goals and estimate the length of the proposed treatment. The purpose of this time together is for you to fully understand all aspects of orthodontic treatment and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Records
During your second visit to Dr. Megna's office, diagnostic records will be made to determine the best course of treatment for you or your child. Complete diagnostic records typically include a dental and medical history, plaster study models of the teeth,digital photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays. This information is used to create a customized treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move during orthodontic care.
Appointments
The appointment when you get your appliances (braces) usually takes one to two hours. You'll then be seen every 8 weeks for adjustment visits which take 15 to 20 minutes.We offer after school appointments and will attempt to accomodate your schedule to the best of our ability. Patients are seen by appointment and we make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately and your appointment will be rescheduled.
